Moonshine
I am have a very dumb moment I think, in our en suite we are going to have a wall vanity unit and wall taps. I am really struggling to get my head round hieghts and need a sanity check. I am looking to set the top of the counter top bowl to 850mm above floor level, then that the wall mounted taps 200mm above the top of the bowl. Does that sound about right? Nickfromwales
A google search of images of these seems to show the spout outlet at around 150mm off the top of the bowl, so if you're referring to the height of the centre of the spout before the spout turns downwards, then I'd say you're about right. ProDave
I just went and measured ours. The counter top is 790mm above the floor. That was the lowest we could get it, constrained by the concealed WC cistern further along the same counter set as low as it possibly could be. This puts the rim of the basin at 950mm about the same height as any other ordinary e.g pedestal basin. Your 850mm for the counter top may be a little high unless your counter top basin is not as tall as ours?
Nickfromwales
The upper edge of a standard UK basin rim is 820-830mm from FFL. A kitchen worktop surface is around 900-915mm off FFL. A counter-top for a 150mm deep sit-on basin "bowl" should be no more than 700mm from FFL afaic?

Yes we had to make a compromise having a run or counter top across the whole room with a back to wall WC and cistern and that was the lowest we could get. you get used to a slightly higher than usual basin. I was saying the 850mm would be the top of the bowl, the counter top would be the basin bowl depth below that. Sounds like I need to work out the basin depth, and the will be the counter top level. Moonshine
I did a dry fit of the unit and taps, with top of bowl 840mm above floor, tap hieght seems right. The thing that concerns me is the small space below vanity unit and floor.
