jayc89 Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I started to re-felt our existing garage roof in early December. It will be getting knocked down in a couple of months, so it was just to keep it, and my tools, water-tight until then. It's rained ever since, not had 2 consecutive dry days, so it still needs tarring.
nod Posted January 3, 2023 Author Posted January 3, 2023 It’s not great One minute a clear sky Next minute storms Really frustrating The sites have being paying Brickies wet time just to try and get them on site There’s about 30 Brickies out laying where I am Storms forecast for lunchtime 60 mile round trip for two hours work Sites will keep topping up wages while things are busy
SteamyTea Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Last night between 22:00 and 00:00 the temperature increased by 2°C, 5°C t 7°C. Now it is 9°C. I like the storms, it gets warmer.

What is interesting is why old people seem to think that demisting their car windows when we go from dry and cold, to wet and warm, is terrifying. Edited January 3, 2023 by SteamyTea

Mr Punter Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Our bricklayer managed half a day today. It looks OK for the rest of the week.
SteamyTea Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Pretty wet and miserable here today. So going to have a large lunch, pick up my book, read 3 pages and fall asleep. Every cloud has a silver lining.
