Onacrame
I’m building a new build and was just wondering if integrated solar is compatible with standing seam metal roofs (zinc in this case). I usually see reference to slate or tiles but not metal.
IanR
BiPVco have some products that can stick directly to a standing seam roof https://bipvco.com/ They've been discussed here a few times, most recently: Alternately, there are clamps and kits from S-5 that allow for standard panels to be fixed directly to the roof, without the need for a frame: https://www.claddingmate.com/products/s5-e-standard-clamp I've not come across integrated trays for standing seam roofs as there are for slate and tiled roofs.
nod
A hate the look of solar panels with a vengeance So much so I ignored planners on our first build and installed a beautiful slate roof The same onThis one 12k spent on slates Not a solar panel in sight Why would you want to spoil a very expensive seam roof

Clenergy is the second option for clamps if needed but I am tending to agree with @nod

Low enough to mandate standing seam / EDPM?
Onacrame
The pitch will be 45 degrees. PVs will only be needed on one side of the house. We wanted to go with standing seam for durability/aesthetics

So the looks are going to change. So you may as well look at a different roof covering for the PV side. In reality, you will not notice the PV, or the roof covering anyway. We usually sit inside a house, half the times it is dark, and roofs are high up. My house sits nearly two meters higher than the road, I cannot see the roof when I am in the front garden.
