richo106
Hi All I am making sure everything is in order for when it's time to process my VAT reclaim As the guidance is quite clear on what needs to be on a invoice etc I am checking that as i go However i bought a few bits from B&Q the other day and only get standard VAT receipt with obviously no address or my name on. Can these just be processed like normal on the VAT return and are the HMRC happy to accept these Many Thanks
ProDave
All my B&Q till receipts and some other similar ones with no name on them were accepted. They went in a different section (I forget) on the form and I included a note explaining that even asking for a "proper VAT receipt" that was the best you could get from B&Q
Temp
Some DIY sheds will give you a VAT receipt if you ask for one. They hand wrote me a few when we built in 2007. However I think the rules say till receipts are ok for up to some limit?
