Wow, that's going to be a door lining that's over 300mm deep.

 

Everywhere else I'm using softwood door linings.

I disagree, I would rather have a “normal” door lining and a plastered return, it just means you cant have an architrave on that side of the frame.

I think I'm with you on this one. I've had a look around and found one done with a plastered return and it looks good.
