northdownbuilder
For final draw. Does this sound correct? They are asking for architects certificate or professional consultant completion certificate. We built the house ourselves and the project wasn’t overseen by an architect (just building control and structural warranty provider) Thanks
ProDave
So the structural warranty providers certificate is what they want. That is after all about the only use for it.
Canski
Sounds iffy to me unless you have a structural warranty company that is not on Halifax’s list.

The only reason I took a warranty out is because I knew the mortgage companies would want to see it!
MJamesW
Halifax accept Professional Consultants Certificate and most Structural Warranty providers who have or are a member of a Consumer Code and they have looked at the policy and approved it. A Council Completion Cert ( Building Control Cert) Is never enough for any lender. It happens quite a lot on the final drawdown. You can still get either option at any stage of the build but it is reflected in the price. Make sure its regulated if you go for the Warranty there is some awful cover out there that's cheap as its based in the Caribbean etc.
