Chris HB
Seems like there a a lot of options to choose out there, so hoping to get a real world recommendation. Looking to get a decent general woodwork/removing plasterboard dust mask. I assume it’s better to get something that’s reusable rather than just some cheap disposable type of thing? markc
If woodworking then a decent reusable especially for MDF. For plasterboard and other demolition type dusts then disposable as you will go through lots of them
Chris HB
Thanks, so is something like the Force 8 Half-Mask with PressToCheck P3 Filters or the Trend Stealth masks with filters a little OTT?
Conor
I've a full face job. It's great for hardcore work but it gets sweaty in there and not comfortable for all day use. I just use KN95 masks from Amazon. Fit well, and block all the dust. I've a half mask as well but don't rate them at all, don't fit as well as a full mask (never stays in place long), or even the good quality KN95s. nod
Most HSE deem respirators useless with a beard Hence the gifted artist’s impression of me 😁

I like these as you get a decent air flow and they don’t get too sweaty https://www.toolstation.com/jsp-force8-mask-with-p3-presstocheck-filters/p80177 The air fed ones are really nice but I don’t have enough need to warrant one (not that it stops me buying stuff ..!!)
Iceverge
I use one of these. Additionally I use it for anything that requires good eye protection. Every other set of goggles that seal around your eyes for angle grinding etc fog up. It is a bit sweaty however.
