Alan Ambrose
Hi, I was in Greece last week and you can't go anywhere without seeing simple solar thermal everywhere (the kind with the horizontal tank at the top) and also chunky motorised sun blinds that can withstand a bit of wind. I noted Iskios and Floros as manufacturers of the blinds and Dimas as one of the solar thermal manufacturers. Are we missing other good ideas and products e.g. from hotter or colder climes or just countries that have taken a different direction? TIA, Alan

Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Kawasaki from Japan. Cheese and Red Wine from France, ad a surly attitude. But we have JCB, Nigel Farage and Alan Sugar. And the Rolling Stones (well the almost living ones). Temp
If you fancy a weekend away I suggest the Batibouw Trade show in Brussels 14-19 March 23. We went in 2005 and there were 13 halls in different categories. The Belgians take house plans so they can get quotes or place orders. Caution: Some days are normally trade only so check the website. Take comfortable shoes because if you want to see the whole show its quite a bit of walking.
CalvinHobbes
Temp, son lives over the border and you should hear him about people from Belgium. Especially their roads and their drivers. Anyway he showed me this and said nothing would surprise him about the place.

I was listening to Radio 5 when the Donnington European GP was on (1993). I had a higher average speed. Great place. My French cousin was on holiday in the South of France with my Belgium cousin. My French cousin had no problem puling women, while my Belgium on had no luck at all. When the Belgium one asked what was the French ones secret, the French on says he puts a potatoes down his Speedos. Next day, my Belgium cousin tried the same, but still had no luck. "I don't understand, we look similar, act similar and I am wealthier than you, just still cannot pull" he said to my French cousin. My French cousin replied "try putting it down the front"
