Dan1983
Morning all, Having some bad luck with our new build at the moment! Latest issue is the washing machine. We ordered the machine a while ago, first one was delivered but heavily damaged, so after a few emails it was replaced. When the next one was ordered I sent the item number info from inside the washing machine door to the company and they re ordered. All good I thought! New one turns up looks the same but no dents so the kitchen fitters installed the machine. We have used it for the first time today and noticed the clothes came out dry. On inspection this machines part number is one letter different and is the washer drier version. Would there be anything I can do in this situation? No doubt most places will only return if item not used Many thanks for any pointers
Dan1983
Had a good read of the instructions now and seems easy enough to use without the drier function so may as well stick with it
SteamyTea
I have a washer-dryer. Saves having a separate dryer. Do you know if it is a heat pump dryer, they are pretty cheap to run.
ProDave
So you paid for a washer, and you got a washer - dryer for the same price? And you are unhappy? Just don't use the dryer functions if you don't want to. Don't make a problem and more stress when there is no need.
JohnMo
If your really lucky it will be a heat pump dryer.
Dan1983
I was just concerned I could not separate the two cycles but seems you can. Its more a time thing as we do a lot of washing so don’t really want the machine tied up for the drying cycle. Its integral but can’t see a vent or water collection point to see which type it is! We do also have a heat pump dryer
ProDave
Look up the model number to see what it is. At the very least it will be a condensing dryer so won't need an air vent (wasteful) and the condensed water will just go down the drain.
Dan1983
Thanks Dave that must be what it is Never had a washer drier so was also thinking why is there is no lint filter etc, just assumed it was the correct washing machine only
