Bex Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I am considering EWI for a large gable end on Victorian terrace. My choice of render would have been lime-based for breathability if I was doing directly onto the brick. I’ve been offered EWI with silicone render and wondering if it matters what render I use on the outer coat if I have EWI in place? thanks
nod Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 K Rend do a suitable render for EWI The advantage over the others is that it doesn’t need a separate scratch coat and it’s also breathable
Conor Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Is the insulation EPS? We went for a renderer that used Sto. It's fantastic.
