Internal door thickness

Who knew choosing doors would be so tricky, I'm getting decision fatigue.

My builder recommends FD30 doors for the thickness and heft, especially as our place is small so noise might be an issue. However, I like solid oak doors, the ubiquitous cottage style will suit the house, but they seem to be 35mm rather than 45mm.  Any opinions/advice/thoughts?

FD30 doors do have a nice hefty feel to them, and with three hinges they work really well. You should be able to find oak FD30 doors, they look like solid oak, but in fact are engineered with something else on the inside. This is actually far preferable to solid oak, as solid oak will warp. So just look for oak FD30s in the style you want. Todd Doors has a nice range.

a lot depends upon width. here majority are 35mm but 826 go up to 40mm
