Ferdinand Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Since I am taking up all the floors at the Little Brown Bungalow, I want to do all the joists etc with wood protector (wet rot, dry fot, insect), just in case. I think last time i used Cuprinol 5 Star treatment from Screwfix. I see this morning Wickes have a Ronseal product at an eyewatering £35 for 5 litres, though 3 for 2 and discount brings it down to about £21. Does anyone know a good product and source for this? Very roughly how much I would need for the structure for a floor area of 60 sqm eg 10 litres or 30 litres? Cheers Ferdinand
Onoff Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I've been using that Evebuild Triple Action Wood Treatment. About £20/5L in Toolstation but cheaper online.
Ferdinand Posted May 4, 2017 Author Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) This one is now decided. After conversations with the guys, I have bought 4x 5l cans of Cuprinol 5 Star Complete Wood Treatment via Amazon for £13 each. A very low price but they seem to check out. WIll confirm in a couple of days. F Edited May 4, 2017 by Ferdinand 1
Ferdinand Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) This is the point at which I admit to being a nincompoop. I ordered from the Amazon page below when rushing, looking at the big picture of the 5l can not the "1 litre" in the text, and this morning received a surprisingly small parcel which will be going straight back. This is why bikini models work at car shows. I will be going for the Wickes one mentioned above at £21 each. Ferdinand Edited May 9, 2017 by Ferdinand 1
