CalvinHobbes
Hi, looking at getting the tiles/shingles off safely the cottage we are demolishing which so far involves wearing the full PPE but thinking about hiring a mii tower. (I have the bags & know to dampen them etc.) I took a few tiles off just to see how it would go and was surprised to find what looks like others underneath. Do you think this is just at the edges or on the whole roof? (Not inclined to trust the roof and the front is very sloped and a good distance from the road. )
Nickfromwales
Usually only doubled up at the bottom courses but time will tell!
ToughButterCup
Here's a good video that explains how some people lay roof tiles. Its one of a series - very informative.

You can just make them out on the diagram. Not sure about shingles.
