Moggaman
Also, I see the electricians use this metal banding to tie things down. ProDave
Lets hope the electrician (or you) remember exactly where the cables are, and hope the boarder did not move any of them.
Dudda
https://www.screwfix.com/p/ced-all-round-band-12mm-x-10m/18298 Or this would be stronger https://www.screwfix.com/p/sabrefix-builders-band-galvanised-dx275-9-6m-x-20mm/38619 Yes raw plug or concrete screws are very useful. You should always take loads of photos and when you think you've enough take some more. Useful for occasions like this.
Temp
The electrician should check to avoid drilling into joists when planning exactly where the spots will go. If he has any sense he will have taken photos or marked a plan previously. When he drills the plasterboard it doesn't usually damage the wire because the wire moves offering no resistance. That and a bit if care is usually sufficient. Then he reaches through the hole to find the wire.

That plan falls apart when the plasterboard installer moves those pesky wires out of the way so when you drill the holes, there are no wires within fishing distance of your holes.
