I've used mini piles and they are quick and easy to install. I'd be surprise if they weren't cheaper than a 3m deep trench foundation. We used a rotary rig, with steel casing, the casing was then concreted in place. Quick and easy. 10% were proof loaded to keep the SE happy. None failed.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do piles connect to the foundations, I've seen many installed, at work ours are 25m deep, but how does it work.

Usually the tops of the piles are broken back to reveal the rebar rods, these are then integrated into the ring beam cages before poring

@LSB you break the tops of concrete driven or poured piles. Screw piles are different and each manufacturer has their own ‘head’ for their pile system.
