Sfuller Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Hi, Apologies if this has been covered but wonder if anyone can assist? I live in a newish build flat. I have a bedroom and living room which I believe is separated by a plasterboard wall. I want to install a couple of ethernet cables through the wall to the switch in the living room. It probably is a silly question but can you simply cut a hole either side of the wall and fit a faceplate. Is this a really bad way of doing it or not recommended for any rules or regulations? Regards, Simon
ProDave Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Yes, just be aware of what might be in the wall before drilling holes in it.
Dreadnaught Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Be aware that back-to-back holes for faceplates might compromise sound proofing. 1
