vala Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Hi all, Moving on to sorting the waste and water pipes for my bathroom project and will be using 50mm pipe for the basin, bath and shower. I'll fit reducers at the sanitary end if needed. Would it still be wise to use 2no 45° fittings for all 90° bends or will the pipe work being 50mm suffice and enable me to use 90° fittings and have less joins? Thanks
Conor Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 90s fine as above but don't have them too close together - try and leave 5x pipe diameters (250mm in your case) between bends. This to reduce excessive turbulence, gurgling and surcharging. Basically, don't do what I've done here ?
