nod
Whilst kicking my heals waiting for planning My thoughts have turned to a water supply There is a supply I dont want to get planning through only to find there is a 8+ weeks lead time The company that’s quoted for Power has offered to get a quote There’s a £200 fee if I go direct or through them So I don’t want to get more than one quote Has anyone gone this route? Am I going to be charged a premium taking the easy option of going through a third party ?
Oz07
Never been through a third party what are you paying for? I have had a stand Pipe connection previously approved then converted it to a standard house connection.
ProDave
Just apply to your water company for a permanent supply to the plot. Obviously you will install a standpipe for use just now.
Wumpus
Just done this for our build site. I agree, apply direct to the water company, it’s not a difficult process and they will help you through it. I found the guys who came out to survey and inspect the trench were really helpful. They are very used to connecting a standpipe as a part of a request for a house connection at a later date.
