Becca
We were going to order Velux windows for our build from Yard Direct, who gave us a very competitive price over the phone. They just sent out an email advising any order placed now will be delayed until DECEMBER! Crazy situation, and feels very unwise to start a build now... ours is supposed to start next month ? Conor
We got triple glazed Keylights (inc electric operated) within a week. Shop around.. assuming you've not paid in full yet.
Becca
No, not paid, glad to say. Having a look at Keylite - thanks. But wonder how many other deliveries are also going to be impacted...
Conor
It seems to be highly variable Becca. Definitely order stuff as early as you can, if you have space to save it. You would also be better off going for supply and fit contracts with people where possible... Esp timber, tiles, flooring, doors etc. People in the trade have better knowledge and get preferential treatment from builder's merchants
nod
Most of the brink manufacturers have closed there books till next year Lots of other materials effected The large house building companies have preordered much of what is being manufactured Its something we will have to put up with for now If it wasn’t Covid it would be Something else When we started our first build five years ago The kingspan factory burnt down Prices doubled and lead time lengthened Then Brexit kicked in Edited August 11, 2021 by nod

Becca
I had a conversation with Roofmaker a while back, but found the windows very expensive. That said, perhaps I discounted them too early. The frameless look is very appealing. Will revisit.
MikeSharp01
We recently ordered our FACRO quad glazed rooflights, made to order, and they arrived in about a month.

Thanks. Did you get them from roofwindows4you.co.uk? Update from Yard Direct today.... September, not December for orders...
