Any experience of Liniar upvc windows?

We are currently comparing window quotes and Liniar are coming in cheapest, anybody ever used them? Other option we have are Veka.  I no they are bottom of the barrel brands but funds are tight.

 

So basically if you had to choose would it be Liniar or 1k more for Veka?

Never head of Liniar but apparently they designed the profile in the UK around 2008 and may be part of the Eurocell. Veka is Veka but only as good as the factory that is buying in the profiles.

 

To be honest, I don't think you could go wrong with either of them.

I had a quote for some PVC windows, it was more than Scandinavian  Alu clad timber, by quite a margin

Veka Softline 82 here. Happy. 

 

However that's only the profile. Make sure you get a spec on the glazing and importantly the ironmongery and mechanisms too.

We got quotes for uPVC windows, I suggested to the wife we look at them before committing to buy. She not like, so went for wooden framed at more than double the cost.  But they do look really good

We recently bought a former council house (1950s vintage) on a little street where *all* the houses now have white uPVC. It would look weird to have anything else! Maybe one day it'll be a conservation feature or something...
