BotusBuild
I'm looking for recommendations of a combined Radon/DPM for use between the insulation and concrete of an insulated foundation slab
tonyshouse
Radon goes through solid rock! And concrete, and polythene. Best way to stop it is to ventilate it away from under your insulation layer or suspended floor structure
saveasteading
Radon dpm appears to be under £1/m2 so is the easy solution on a small floor area. Lots of suppliers online and if screwfix have it, it is clearly mainstream.
Tosh
Visqueen do various thicknesses of combined radon/dpm materials. Go through the building regs and it will guide you to various sources that will help you determine what radon level you're dealing with and measures to take e.g. barrier or barrier and sump. I'm using r400 and utilizing the old inspection pit as a radon sump as we're in a 'severe' area. BC has approved that.
