Grosey Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 I've managed to borrow something pretty similar to this for the next few months to use as site lights, however no bulbs were included. Need bayonet fittings and ideally somewhere I can collect tomorrow as opposed to online. Im assuming I can't just slap in a standard 240v bulb? http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p58287?table=no
ProDave Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 If it's for your own use then I can see no reason not to use 240V lamps. You will need to change the plug or make an adaptor (and UNMAKE it when you are done so nobody uses it to plug any real 110V equipment into 240V)
PeterW Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 you want a decent rough service bulb as you may find they go pretty quickly. If you can wait til thursday then Amazon have some 110v rough service bulb 1
