Dreadnaught Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Does 10mm pipe-insulation exist? Neither toolstation nor any of my local plumbers merchants have it. They all only seem to stock 15mm. Is it that 15mm pipe insulation fits snuggly on a 10mm Hep2O pipe? (I will be using it to lag my Hep2O pipes as they emerge from my insulated raft-foundation.)
Timedout Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Yes. The usual suspects don’t do it but you can buy it on line. I bought a batch in 2016 or 17. It was in 2m lengths and was not split. The nit split bit was a surprise but I just pushed it over the pipe prior to connecting up. I think it came from an air con type place but it was just regular pipe insulation and nothing fancy.
Timedout Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Just checked and found the emailed invoice. Was 2016. Am I allowed to post the supplier? try searching on pipe lagging but all one word.
Dreadnaught Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) Thanks @Timedout & @Russell griffiths! 22 minutes ago, Timedout said: I think it came from an air con type place Helpful insight! I've think I have found a local air-con merchant that stocks it. I will pop over on Monday and see if they will sell me some. My concrete contractors are on site so I don't really want to wait for mail order if I can avoid it. Edited January 31, 2021 by Dreadnaught
Russell griffiths Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 You can search 3/8inch as well, some air con is imperial.
