Chriswills
My UFH on the smallest zone ie utility room will not get up to zone control temp of 18 deg C and switch the actuator off. All other zones do and rooms are much bigger. If I turn it down to about 16 it will switch off then. Maybe flow issue?
PeterW
Is it actually getting warm enough ..? A cheap digital min/max thermometer off eBay will help you diagnose.
ProDave
If it is like our utility room, the issue is with such a large percentage of the room taken up with cupboards etc, barely half the room area has UFH delivering heat to the room. All other rooms have a very much higher percentage of the room area delivering heat, even the kitchen. So we find the utility does take longer to heat up because it has less watts per square metre of room heating it than other rooms do. It is also north facing so never gets any solar gain. We just accept that on a very cold day it might never reach it's target of 20 degrees and might only be able to reach say 19. That is still warm enough. SteamyTea
My initial thought is the same as @ProDave's. You could try turning the flow temperature up to deliver more power and hope that the rest of the house copes, but you will take a hit on the CoP. Hasn’t thought of it like that. it’s only a small room I Suppose so doesn’t use a ton of energy to heat. flows are on full. Can’t get more than about 2 l/min. Any recommendations for pipe thermometers too so I can see what’s going on with the system?
