redtop Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Laid a 22mm chipboard floating floor, sits on 25mm PIR. Used 25mm battons at door entrances and now find the floor rises a few mmm at the threshold. Short of cutting and lifting the offending area, could I sand /plain the board down to remove the Hump. Its the 22m p5 stuff

ProDave Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Is the root of the issue that your "25mm" battens are thicker than your "25mm" insulation? Just trying to understand what has happened, not having a solution, sorry.
tonyshouse Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Or has it cupped up, is it springy? Can you pull it back down with long screws? last resort is planer it
