There is an area towards the front which is covered in moss and growth that I want to clean off. However when I clean it it also takes off the paint and exposes the lead. markc Posted October 12, 2020 Share Posted October 12, 2020 lead should be left to oxidize and protect itself, any (to my knowledge) coating shortens the life of the lead by allowing it to degrade.
