vfrdave
I have got an advance copy of my building control drawings as submitted to BCO for approval, no doubt there will be changes/amendments. One query I have and a builder has also queried is the sewer and rainwater drains are specified in 150mm pipework, I thought 100mm would be the normal used. It would also result in reducers to toilets etc being used and inlet to treatment plant being 150mm which I need to check. Any thoughts?
joe90
Like you I thought 100mm for single dwelling was "normal" and this is the spec for my application (passed).
ProDave
Is it connecting to a main sewer or a treatment plant?

ProDave
Then for a single domestic dwelling, 100mm is fine.
Nickfromwales
Technically it would be 110mm, but agree, 150mm is way OTT.

vfrdave
Thanks gents, that was my train of thought and I suspect the inlet to the treatment plant is also 110mm.

That was my thought so checked my plans and my architect states 100mm on my plans. Perhaps I.d.?
Nickfromwales
Most likely. 100mm is most often found in ventilation, with 110mm being something totally different and best to avoid confusion ( particularly when ordering ). Typical 'wall' thickness for 110mm stuff is circa 3mm so 100+3+3mm. That 106mm if your not sure
