gravelld
I need to cable to this terminal block, but I'm not sure how cables are secured: Can anyone identify that type of connector and what I need to connect to it? The manual states "Use rigid wire or galvanized multi wire". Edited August 19, 2020 by gravelld
PeterW
That’s a straight push in. Just needs solid twin & earth cable.
ProDave
Push fit. for use only with solid core cables, just strip and push into the holes in the end facing in the picture. you can fit 4 cables per terminal. The slots in the top are probably for a screwdriver to release the cables.

gravelld
Does the gauge of the wire not matter to get the push fit to work? If I use twin and earth I assume I can just ignore the earth as it won't be connected at the other end either...
PeterW
Probably 0.75 or 1mm
ProDave
What exactly is it? Does it not say in the instructions? If the wire is too large is usually simply won't go in.
gravelld
Nothing obvious in the instructions. On the top of the block: It says "1,5° S" at the bottom left terminal, and "2,5° 450V" on the top-right one. The other terminals appear to have some sort of symbols. gravelld
Well I'm not sure if this is any guide but this page uses the same notation and it suggests the number is the maximum gauge: https://www.phoenixcontact.com/online/portal/gb?uri=pxc-oc-itemdetail:pid=3208100&library=gben&tab=

If that is too much bother to use, it would be easy enough to pop those pink wires out and put into your favourite flavour of wago.

gravelld
Just tried with some 1.5mm solid core and it fitted very nicely. And yes, the slot is to release.
