Laurence737
Hi Everyone, I am looking to have a oft conversion and would need to relocate the tank from our system boiler to the loft, as it is currently in a cupboard above the stairs where the new staircase will go. The tank will be moving straight up above where it currently is in a cupboard by the side of the new stair entrance in the loft. Roughly how much do you think this would cost to complete? Access shouldn't be an issue as the new stair shaft will be cut in the ceiling directly above it. Many Thanks
Nickfromwales
If it’s been surveyed first, a good plumber should do that in a day. So £160 plus materials I suppose should be ample. Will the tank have to have a timber plinth constructed to sit on at its new location? If so, factor in costs for that too.
Oz07
160 won't get you a self employed and insured plumber for the day round here if be budgeting 250+ with the bits
PeterW
It will round here - £150-210 depending on whether they have GSR tickets. £900/wk isn’t unusual.
Alexphd1
First off is a vented or un vented tank, you may struggle for height for feeder tank if vented. If changing style of tanks the job may take longer than a day. Very hard to give you a rough price even on a simple job without seeing the job.
