Pocster
Will be installing this soon . As some of my floor is screed and some marine ply do I just apply the mat across both ? . As you can see there are a few gaps and the marine ply is a few mm lower than the screed . What should I fill the gaps with ? Should I ignore the slight height differences across the different floor materials and just lay the de coupling mat straight across ? thanks in advance! You can use tile adhesive But let it set before you put your 5 mil adhesive down for your Ditra Ardex for the ply

Tile adhesive to ‘level’ it will only be a few mm thick . Not going to crack or anything is it ? Guess I should pva the marine ply before applying the adhesive? dave2878
Self level . To get level . If you can change the ply for Hardie backer board. It doesn't expand and contract like ply. Plus ply nowadays is poor quality.
dave2878
If there is concrete under ply just self level the area to bring you up level. Never use pva

dave2878
Self level of you are bothered about height. If it only a few mm the adhesive can deal with it. . . Clear dust the SBR . And use a decent adhesive . Bal or Weber Weber are my preference.
