Delicatedave Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Do I need to use an earth in this or can I use the old supply from the lighting for the 240v input? Sorry it's one of the question you feel you know the answer.
Jeremy Harris Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Yes, it has to be earthed as it has exposed metal parts. 1

Yes, as I said silly question but I've seen so many with use twin lighting cable. Just I have one handy but I shell resist the temptation and use an old PC power cable and plug it in.
ProDave Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 There will be some type of filtering on the input which inevitably means some leakage. With no earth, the case would probably adopt a voltage somewhere between L and N and would give you a shock if you touched it,
