Help with Windows - Budget type

Hello everyone,

Only just found this forum, wish I had found it a lot earlier.

We have received planning permission and I am working through the major items needed.

At present I am looking at windows and sliding patio doors and also a front door.

We are limited as one of the conditions is that it has to be aluminium windows.

I did look at Ali-Clad but as I am trying to keep maintenance to minimum and our budget I am heading down fully aluminium windows.

Reading comments on the site, I see that there is a vast difference in price, as we are trying to keep to the low end, most mentioned here windows that are out of our price range.

I have had quotes from suppliers who use either the Smart system or ALUK windows. The prices do fall within what we can afford and just wondering if people have views as to either of the systems (Pro's and Con's).

Can anyone recommend any other budget type companies that they recommend.

I’ve used Duration windows for a couple of projects 

Excellent quality and low price 

They have a manufacturing factory 

Canvey Island I think 

There Guarantee is second to none 

While I’ve only purchased supply only 

There are always fitting prices included on there quote

why the planning condition?

Have now obtained a few quotes, Duration came in second, the winner at around 15% less than Duration was Rhino who are based in Kent.

Has anyone purchased from Rhino, any Pro's or Con's ?
