JanetE Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I lined the walls of our current house and painted over, a few years back. Now the lining paper is lifting in places at the joins. I was wondering what kind of glue to use to stick it back?
Tennentslager Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 If it's painted over and brittle this might not work but I'd mix some wallpaper paste and brush it in behind where it's lifting. Give it 10 minutes to get soft and push the excess paste out towards the edge with a damp cloth. Keep rinsing the cloth to keep it clean and the wall clear of paste.?
Pete Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 You need border adhesive or a pva glue and that will sort it. 1

TerryE Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Nah, I accidentally removed my old pic from my profile and it must have been 5-10 years old, so it needed updating anyway. I can't remember what I was doing when Jan took this mugshot but it was pretty shitty as I was fully suited up. I'll dig out another some time.
TerryE Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Nah, I've got the full hazchem selfie of Jan and I doing the acoustic insulation, but I dare not post it without permission! I will leave it to J to decide. We solved the original issue by the brute force approach by stripping and repapering the worst effected wall (for other reasons).
