Glass problems

Got a little proble that I didnt see coming. The green of the glass in the windows has a bad reaction with the colour of the kitchen when the sun is shining.  Is there anything I can do to cut this ie film on the glass or a day blind etc?

Your referring to the coating Alex? When you say a bad reaction, what do you mean? Colour clash or the coating causes a reaction/distraction with the colours of the kitchen?

I have specified low iron glass in the past where the glass was thick and I did not want any green tinge.

Only time I've noticed glass is green is when the edge is visible, never seen an issue with it effecting the colour of light in a room.

 

We also went for low iron glass (Optiwhite) on our frameless shower but that was just to get rid of the green edges.

Google suggests you can get low iron glass sealed units made.

The 80mm toughened panes on a building I worked on had a green tinge. Can't say where though

We used the low iron for a flood wall where we wanted a clear view of the river. The glass was 25.5mm toughened and laminated and would otherwise have looked fairly green.
