I have cemfloor floor screed with ufh, it doesn't appear to give off much dust. We are hoping to move in shortly with lots of uncovered floor and I don't want extra dust. What can I seal the floor with that won't be detrimental to future tiling or wooden flooring being laid? I have been told to avoid the traditional PVA as it will crack and peel off with ufh, not sure if this is true. Thanks in advance, can't actually believe I have just typed the words "move in shortly"

My lovely wife decided she was not happy with my Bosch hoover to clean the floor in outr new build so took the household hoover down instead. She did not realise that there was some concrete dust left and this has made the hoover overheat now. It is a Shark and I have cleaned all the filters and made sure there are no blockages but when I stripped the body down I noticed the armature/commutator is now covered in this dust and i think this is what is causing it to overheat. Would I be ok to try the WD40 contact cleaner to try and clean it out or would it be better with something else? I can get the motor out without disconnecting any wires so have good access all round. TIA

My eyes aren't what they once were. Worse, this time of year, in addition to work-related dust, there's pollen. Over time, I have accumulated an impressive collection of eye protection. Stored here, there and everywhere: car floor, bedside table, underfoot, tool bag, dog kennel, and the eye-wear storage box. Oh, and there's a pair on my head at the moment: not so long ago I managed to get into the shower with a pair tucked into my goldilocks . Which made me think. How best to clean them? Tried all sorts, but there's one way that exceeded all expectations. The dishwasher. I'd love to find a scratch-proof set: dishwashers can't sort that problem. Have you found some that don't scratch?

As we move on to the second fix, I'm at the stage of trying to convert from dusty / muddy floor to a cleaner environment. Gradually vacuumed out areas and sealed the screed with a watered down pva to stop it dusting, mist coats will be going on the plaster. No muddy boots allowed inside. Now debating between the large dirt trapper mats on the outside and inside and or the plastic tacky surface sheets/ mats. Thoughts?
