Sounds like it. It's a great bit of kit for the average diy'er to get to know how different tools can be used fixed instead of hand held. Wish I had one now

The MOF177 was the predecessor to the DW625. I was one of the guy's who brought the Dewalt range of power tools to the UK market. ELU and Dewalt were brands owned by Black & Decker for a numbers of years prior to the rebranding. They were synonymous in the cabinet/furniture making industries as the goto brand for quality and reliability. The ELU brand was Swiss and the routers were considered the Rolls Royce of routers by kitcken makers. Dewalt was American, mainly large radial arm saws used for cutting down sheet materials etc. Another brand I was responsible to bringing to the market was the Triton workcentre from Australia.

+1 on installing Kodi. I don't know anything about Pi but I know it's possible to install Kodi on it and as @Declan52 says you can install any addon on it using YouTube. I've installed it on my Sony android TV and have various sports, kids, movies addons etc which I can watch live or on demand.

Our house is up 42%. It's been on the market now for 6 weeks and not one offer!

Thank you for your warm welcome and advice @recoveringacademic, @Nickfromwales and @MikeSharp01 There's certainly a lot to think about. Looking at some of the plots for sale around the area we're looking at I'm torn between serviced with PP and plots without but that route looks like a beginners nightmare. At first glance serviced with PP look very tight for our budget, most of them are around the 150k mark which would leave a build budget of only 200k with no contingency.

Hi, Another newbie here to gleam your valuable knowledge! We currently live in Slough and are in the process of selling our home and relocating to near Doncaster and would like to build our own house if budget allows. I had to close my business due to health problems and my wife and i feel this is the right time in our lives to seize this opportunity. We intend to rent first and look around the area to see what available plots there are and see if it's viable and within our budget. I have been lurking on here for a few days now and been reading up on all the different build options and veering towards PH TF build but without the certification. I must admit it all looks a bit daunting, i didn't realise there would be so much to learn/research etc, i feel i have only just scratched the surface from joining this forum. Jim
