  1. Is this a drainback system? Not sure.
  2. why they cant make these things simple is beyond me
  3. Just checked it now and the roof temperature is showing 168 deg C and the pressure at 6 bar. I have switched on the OCC but nothing happens. The tank temp is set to a max of 70 deg C should that be increased to 95?
  4. EM is set at 130 sensoe on roof and one on tank. drainback installed ive been told not increase it anymore in temperature!
  5. I just upgraded the tank to a 300 litre from 200. There are settings which allow it to cool the collector and the store but i don't know how to set it up. We have the pressure valve and drain off all set up so good there, just worries me to see 6 bar plus on these very hot days
  6. Yes I did the info on manual for cooling OCC, I switched it on but still no joy
  7. Not a dump. Just wondered if there was a setting to cool the collector??
  8. https://www.resol.de/Produktdokumente/11204293_DeltaSol_CS4.monen.pdf I have the above Resol solar controller, everything works fine until the tank reaches its max setting at 70 deg. Once the pump is then switched off the temperature on the roof goes up to about 170 deg C and the pressure goes up to over 6 bar. The warning icon flashes then too. Is there a way to cool the collector or is this normal?
  9. Any idea of a good UFH thermostat to replace my exisiting Emmieti analogue ones as I want to time them to drop in temp over night.
  10. All I would do really is have timed stats for my Ufh so they turn down by 2 degrees at peak times. Is this ok?
  11. food for thought.....will have to look into the settings on my system I have a NIBE SM0 S40 control panel and a NIBE S2125 Air Source Heat Pump
  12. Octopus energy are advertising a "Cosy" tariff for ASHP users with x2 cheap energy dips (04:00 - 07:00) and x1 high energy hike at peak (16:00 - 19:00). Does anyone have this and/or rate it? I thought the whole point of an ASHP was to keep it on 24/7 but with this tariif wouldnt you need to switch it off at peak time to benefit and only run it for 6 hours a day at the low rate? Confusing!!!
  13. Correction I have the SMO S40 unit
  14. I have the SMO 40 control unit
  15. I have a NIBE S2125 ASHP, not able to reduce the temperature at certain times, only holiday modes. All I want is to set back the stats by 2 degrees overnight so there is no call for warming up the house when Im in bed? Dont want an on/off scenario
  16. Just wanted to start this post up again...... Every time I come downstairs in the morning the smart meter reads £5 while we have been sleeping...makes no sense to me. Is there a replacement Stat out there which would be able to go back say 2 degrees overnight, using no power as such and then back to normal thereafter. I have solar PV too so should get some offset on that too. We have ASHP Any thoughts?
  17. Its knowing the size thats the issue, just wish I could see a part number and description somewhere?
  18. Thanks, the manual showed the ring as EPDM but maybe thats why its perished, ill take a look at Viton too Diolch..
  19. We fitted an autovent today anyway to try it, but in doing so also checked the existing fittings and found a small leak (probably more of a leak under higher pressures in heat). Have taped up the joins with PTFE for now until we can source some new O rings to replace the existing. The panel is the Thermomax DF100 and you can see from the picture x2 rings that have perished, I believe they are EPDM but would be grateful if anyone knew where I could get spares. Going to change the opposite side too while we are there.
  20. Stil not working should I fit an auto vent??
  21. I’ve let the air out so now time to see how if it flows
  22. Ok thanks. Bleed while pump is running or when off?
  23. With an auto vent or should I just go up there and vent it manually for now?
  24. I have recently had my solar system upgraded with a pump station and new pipe work (as much as possible) but not the actual roof tubes or components. I now seem to be getting a lot of air in the system and thus the pump not being able to run when its warm on the roof. It runs fine but there is no circulation. I have bled at the solar station a number of times but does nothing. The old system had an auto vent near the tank but the new one does not. Should I have one installed to cure this? Pics attached of the roof images only (they are now lagged!)
