  1. I have never seen a British Standard that had binding tolerances. There are Max and Min Dimensions but these are not tolerance's (even thought a lot use them that way for easy). Tolerance can be anything the client/architect has put on the drawings. And if they have put Zero ask them how they intend to measure an exact size, as most of the worlds scientific community would love to know that too. Since this is a high end build, does the client have a bespoke wall covering than need the outlets to be in an exact position. The worse tolerance i have ever had to work to was -0,+0.0005 mm on a ground metal component (and there isn't one to many 0's).

  3. Took me a little time to get my head around what you are proposing. The max wide of the building span is 20m, however due to the 4 columns providing the Atrium corners you only had to deal with a maximum unsupported span of 7.7m. You will also have to consider how the beam will produce substantial point loading on your external walls and may required additional columns at the outer wall ends of each beams too. This is more that some structural Calc's you need an engineer to be involved on it from day one.
  4. Get in touch with Allans of Gillock, they might be able to help out with the supply of mesh
  5. It might not be an electrical battery. We had a proposal in Caithness, for a mechanical CO2 battery to be trialled. Use spare electricity to liquify CO2 for the air and store in Tanks. Then at a later time expand through turbines to generate electricity.
  6. A speed read of the statement and it also only refers to installed EMS. Nothing about materials only.
