  1. Maybe buy a good few spares to cover this eventuality? but then the 'new' one is likely to stand out if the others are 5+ years old.
  2. The slimmer upstands look much nicer, even with the 30mm worktops. We likely will go thinner! (I also like the matt effect finish)
  3. What I meant was a solution that is available from Sunamp (along with data) that takes into account the use of their product in combination with PV and an ASHP. Also some form of ready reckoner would be great, where I could input the estimated heating and hot water energy requirement and be given a solution e.g. 'You will require a 6kW heat pump, (the following models have been tested etc) along with a 4 cell Sunamp. 4 kW PV panels* will typically offset xx direct electrical consumption. Annual electrical use will be xx kWh. Then I could up the level of PV decrease the heating energy requirement etc and try to arrive at an optimal solution I am hoping to build a larger than normal very low energy house that has a slightly higher than normal water use (due to additional needs of occupants).
  4. Sunamp appear to offer the Stack as a solution in combination with a heat pump but without consideration of PV. The Sunamp PV is aimed at users who have a combi with PV. They don't seem to natively consider PV plus ASHP, the solution many arrive at especially away from the gas network. I know JSH has arrived at a solution, but this isn't 'out of the box'.
  5. I noticed last week that their updated brochure on the website now talks about a 4 cell sunamp PV. I would like to know a bit more about how the stack works with an ASHP and wonder if a 4 cell PV would be enough. 5 in the house with above average water use and a requirement 'never to run out of water'. I filled out the form on their site but have had no contact yet,
  6. Thanks, didn't contribute that much to the other other place (as distinct from the other place) as I was consumed by the planning process, but hopefully there is now a chink of light, should know more in a few? weeks Hopefully this place becomes as nice as ebuild was before
  7. Northwest Ireland calling Joined ebuild about 18 months ago, should've had planning permission last year. After a long and tedious year we still don't have planning, such is the joy! maybe we can get there this year???? Almost had a breakdown when ebuild vanished, great to see the phoenix rise!!
  8. http://www.newstalk.com/Fuelfree-cars-on-the-way-as-TCD-scientists-make-breakthrough Hydrogen produced much more cheaply using manganese oxide. Perhaps this could be a way of 'storing' PV hydrogen boiler for hotwater and any surplus for car use. Anyway of preparing for this?
