Truth is probably denon , onkyo , 7.2 , 7.1 etc I won’t hear the (expletive deleted)ing difference . But I’m pretending I’m a expert before I part with 4K ( yeah , it’s gone up to accommodate my lack of knowledge )

I know 😊 there’s an okyno amp for a bit more that includes Dirac it’s spec virtually matched denon 3800h . Seller suggested it as they don’t have the d3800h who the (expletive deleted) said my house or myself was normal ?
-
Why the (expletive deleted) not ? You saying my home is shite ?
-
It does - auddsy or something . Apparently Dirac is much better ….

Cedral Cladding - Hiding Screws ? Urgent
Pocster replied to Spinny's topic in General Construction Issues
I did cedral they do expensive color matching screws . But mine was all metal clips and zero need for screws . I though that was the point of the system t n g type affair ? i.e fittings are hidden zero screws -
@Kelvin you use Dirac ? should I bother ? £200 for the licence then another 130 quid for the mic !!
-
Sorry wrong amp ! That one’s still over budget . Getting lots of replies …
-
Might be cheaper just to buy a (expletive deleted)ing cinema
-
How much for (expletive deleted)ing speaker stands !!!! I’ll make some out of 3x2 😊
-
JBL AV Receiver is MA9100HP didn’t check the spec as the cost of that 1 component exceeds my entire budget by some margin ! I can piece together almost everything I need from eBay as separates , all new and good prices . But I’ll see what richer sounds offer on Monday
-
Got to love some of the quotes I receive . Talk about upsell ! One sent an equivalent to the 1k denon avr which was 6k - yeah nearly equivalent!!
-
Managed to get 4 x KlipschCDT-5650-C II for £800 inc delivery and tax from USA . Here they seem around £280+ each !! The directional tweeter and base I feel important for atmos
-
That’s all splittable . ive been told now that Klipsch delivery time can be potentially months on some stuff ! Shouldn’t really be buying USA anyway - so looking at monitor audio which is supposedly as good as…?
-
Currently looking at this for 3.5k before I haggle . Cant see any worthy costs savings on this Klipsch brand Klipsch R-600F (pair) Klipsch R-40M (4 speakers) Klipsch R-101SW subwoofer Klipsch R-30C centre speaker Polk Audio RC80i (4 ceiling speakers) Denon AVC-X3800H AVR

Guess I should buy all the items new . Open them Return them buy again at a discount 😊

surround one’s floor standing I assumed … ?
-
EBay denon 3600h 20 mins from me £550 ….
-
Sounds like you got some good kit there for quite a chunk less . Oh don’t worry ! When I go to richer sounds I’ll ask if he will sell me their 7.2.4 setup as it’s old stock used now ! ( for a significant discount of course ! ) The directional ceiling speakers aren’t cheap are they! I thought they’d be like 50 quid each !!
-
Sounds like you’re going with lox . That’s fine of course . As an ex software engineer myself you should be a tinker ! - bit of wiring nah no worries . Home assistant gives lots of diversity and at a diy cost . All your requirements I’ve done . So I look for the next thing to play with . Though for lighting a zigbee relay ( dimmable , wrgb etc etc ) is pretty reliable at a fraction of the cost . But that’s it I guess , if you ain’t a tinker probably the wrong route to go .

Missed this message somehow . yeah I can place speakers anywhere I want and as many as I want . Remember my ‘Swindon office style ‘ ceiling 😊 . Nice and easy to add / remove / move speakers . Leaning now more towards a 7.1.4 system . It would bug me to go 7.1.2 and “ not know “ if those 2 extra ceiling speakers make a difference ! . So much so that I’d add them anyway . I was surprised the denon h3800 has 11 channels but only amps 9 of them ( what’s the point of that ! ) - so would needs a small extra amp just for 2 extra ceiling speakers .
-
Going down a rabbit hole here . Thinking 11.1.4 but then the denon needs an extra amp for 2 of the ceiling channels !
-
Atmos , dtx etc etc. pretty common on home movies / streaming now .
