  1. Can you please elaborate on what this means?
  2. I finished our box cube planters with whatever that design is called, and they came out really well. Probably didn't do them the same way the pros would have done them here, but they're still standing ? https://youtu.be/iR4fHWq_QRA
  3. Which batteries have you opted for?
  4. That's hard core - you can exfoliate while you dry off.
  5. Interesting. I’m kicking myself for not installing four more panels on our west facing roof to get light in the late afternoon. We were lucky to have a large south facing roof so took advantage of that. do you have batteries?
  6. My wife tumble dries all our towels, duvets, pillows, etc. as if we leave them outside to dry they get crunchy and crispy. All clothes are line dried.
  7. How big is your array?
  8. That dreaded word again. There's no real reason for damp to be present there, so it's a head scratcher... hesitant to rip off the PB at this stage, but will have a look outside to see if there's any reason for the damp, and will report back.
  9. Can someone please provide some insights as to why this plaster may be peeling? It's the only place in the house that this has happened. The paint has literary crumbled away, exposing the plaster below. We're going to be paining portions of the house again, but wanted to know what we need to address this so that it doesn't happen again.
  10. Yeah, I was refering to the way the joins alternate at the edges, down the planter to form a pattern.
  11. What is the name given to wood that is not edge-to-edge but where a design is formed by not being edge-to-edge - as in the picture?
  12. Thanks for that. Is there a way to treat it, and if left untreated, will it adversely affect the bricks in any way?
  13. I think its efflorescence. Is that better or worse? Is it also caused by damp? Can we treat this?
  14. There's a shower on the other side of the wall, and the bench will definitely be restricting airflow. So is this definitely caused by damp? And if we "fix" the issue, will the mould go away or will it still need to be treated?
  15. I think its cedar or another treated timber, but not 100% sure as they never told us.
  16. Thanks JS. That's what I feared. This is going to be a dirty, dusty job.
  17. Please see attached photos - and the wood is cracking in many places. They also left a pot of "touchup" paint for us, which is why we know what they used. Image also attached.
  18. We've recently found some white mould on brickwork inside our house (please see photos). It's a 3m long stretch under a bench that we have in te hall way. Can someone please recommend a product that we can use to best treat this with and what preventative measures can we take to prevent this from coming back?
  19. The house we've moved into has a new wood conservatory which the previous owners have painted with an indoor/outdoor (multipurpose) paint, which is exposed to a fair amount of wind and rain, and the paint is beginning to chip and flake off. We are going to repaint this with a proper outdoor paint. What I'm unsure of is whether we need to strip the existing paint off where it has flaked and just paint over the areas that are still OK almost utilising it like a primer? Or do we need to strip/sand the lot?
  20. For those that have cctv, are you recording to a HDD box? also, does anyone have those front door cams from ring.com? If yes, are they any good?
  21. I’ve not heard of Ubiquiti. Just went to their site and they’re a serious company.
  22. Thanks SteamyTea - I read about the temperature factor last night and was astounded to see they perform better when it's cooler. Excellent points about the larger system - that was a pain in the ass. EON did sort it out all. Follow up video scheduled for this week.
  23. Fab ideas guys. Awesome! Our controls are not easy too.
  24. JS, I was thinking of doing a review on our ASHP - other than COP and the flow rate, what other things do you think I should mention/cover?
  25. That's a good suggestion Joth. Was thinking about one because we need to paint over chimney breast too. Any suggestions in terms of brands and types? Don't know anything about such towers.
