It's going up!

Just a few new photos of current progress. Tanking was completed and polished concrete slab finished at 2am on a Friday night a few weeks ago. Which meant standard house construction could finally begin. Things have progressed well with no major snags at this stage, up to first floor level now ready for block and beams delivery on Monday. The Steels that arrived were a fair bit more substantial than we were expecting. Lots of fiddly work at this stage but after the 1st floor is in place I'm hoping progress will really ramp up. Roof trusses are ordered for delivery on 4/12/16 so currently still on track to be some form of watertight by Christmas. Large Velfac sliding doors that are going on to the balcony won't be delivered until w/c 9/1/17 so full watertight won't be until then.

Haha thanks, although my £30 syma isn't quite in the same league as yours (Phantom 4). Although my little tacker has given me the bug and now I want a big boys toy!

Trouble with mine is it has no live viewfinder, so I'm basically flying blind pointing it in a general direction hoping for good footage!

Dont do it!..... well you can if you want :)

but it is an expensive tool, and i do mean tool, not toy

if your not planning to make a lot of videos a few hi res stills will be good enough for us, have a good old practice where you feel safe, then try and get some nice atmospheric shots from slightly further away :) just take plenty of pictures, you will at least get one in the right direction ;)

Someone did mention to be about bodge fixing a GoPro to the Syma drone I already have, which will massive upgrade the photo quality and hopefully give me a viewfinder too. Probably the compromise I'll go for.

Let @Rogerthedog fly the thing I say, he seems to know where he's going round the site better than anyone! :)

Day 1 of roofing, took best part of the day to actually get the trusses on site. But at least it's a start!

Roger in place as always to offer a reference of scale ???
