Temp
This web site uses three words to identify any place on earth to within 3meters.. https://what3words.com So for example the entrance to Downing Street is cheer.daily.vanish. So why not look up the square for your front door and the three words it's been allocated. Then name your house that so the three words are in your address. Means any delivery driver with the app can easily find you.
Ed Davies
That's a cute system. It's a shame the mapping between words and lat/longs is proprietary. If they go out of business then anybody using the system is stuck. Ditto, if it becomes popular they have the leverage to exploit it heavily.

Similar to what they already have. https://what3words.com/products/batch-converter/ Then just publish it online, and be damned. Temp
I calculated there are 56,000,000,000,000 squares on the planet. I don't know how fast their web site would respond to a look up request but at one a second it would take 1.7 million years to look up all the squares! I think there must be an algorithm rather than just a big database.
