dnoble Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I have a long (55m) run from house to mains sewer in road We laid 110mm pipes with appropriate drops (for foul and surface/roof water) next to each other in trench. Building inspector checked and said fine. Called next day and said " by the way you need an inspection chamber every 22m" (therefore 2 and need to include both pipes). This is going to be very fiddly to retrofit (builder hadn't done a run this far before and didn't know of this rule) Also inspection chambers all seem to have radial pipe entrance. I need one 300-500mm accross with 2 parallel pipes in the bottom. I cant find such a thing online. Is the only option building one out of blocks or something??

I also think you could just put a rodding eye for the foul and not bother with the surface water. Ask Marley or Polypipe technical for backup if required. Easier to send them a drawing than mess with digging up drains.
dnoble Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 Hi Jeremy, thanks. That last one looks like a possibility if they are building regs passable. Yes otherwise the offset option squeezed in might work, though you'd have to chop a bit out to accommodate the uninspected pipe

I've just looked at table 13 part H it isn't very obvious what applies to me. So....inspection chamber shallow 'to' inspection chamber is 45m. Not trying to be patronising...thats how I read the table. Maybe others read it differently? I'm not sure how IC to IC is ever 22m?
