Odd sized batten

I need to get hold of some batten, 35mm x 48mm. This is the size that MBC use for their internal service batten but it doesn't appear to be a standard size.

 

We're going to start boarding out shortly and the battens aren't at 400 centres so my choice is to have all the board cut or put in additional battens and the latter seems much simpler, if I can get the timber.

 

I've tried Sydenhams and Travis Perkins so far but with no success and I'm waiting for a reply from MBC as to where they sourced the stuff that went into my building.

 

Any suggestions, anyone?

I checked the size in imperial in case it was something like that, but it's about 1/8 of an inch smaller than each of those dimensions.

38 x 50 is one of the normal sizes for treated external batten.  You can probably get a planed untreated version about 4mm smaller.

Thanks both. I found a splendid local sawmill and they are sorting it out for me - delivery by the end of the week.
