Hi,

I'm doing a one and half storey self build in rural South Lanarkshire.

Its longhouse style 18 x 6 m gable to gable.

We're up to DPC, having laid strip founds; single skin blockwork wall to DPC; ground bearing slab make up of type 1 base with drainage laid, blinding, DPM, 300 mm EPS (75mm perimeter EPS),VCL, 150mm self levelling concrete slab containing wet UFH layout.

Yes architect designed timber kit, nearing completion, 1.5 storey 260m2, not without its problems and this is our third, you’d think we would have learned by now! Sorry I answered the question which I now realise was not for me?

sounds good, is it a kit house/architect designed etc?

Not exacty Architect designed, more self designed from inspiration of others. We're building the kit onsite ourselves. Has been through a structural engineer and usual building control route though. Steep learning curve.......and with the forum as well!
