McC Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Came across this form by chance, hoping it holds the answers and information I'm looking for! Always want to build my own home, and will definitely be doing it at some point in time. But that point in time could be sooner rather than later if I can get a way forward with my council's planning department! My in-laws have very kindly said that we can take a chunk of their 6 acres to build...but initial pre-planning application for planning in principle has come back with that it doesn't meet any of the Aberdeenshire council's criteria ? so will post up a more specific post in the right section to get some feedback. ProDave Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Hi and welcome. I thought building on what is currently "garden ground" was almost guaranteed. Perhaps the bit you are looking at is not considered as part of the "garden" but rather a separate paddock?
