Moira Niedzwiecka Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Does anyone know if it is possible to reclaim VAT on LED mirrors for bathrooms?
newhome Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Says that mirrors qualify as ‘articles ordinarily incorporated in a building’ in section 13.8.1 of VAT Notice 708 so I don’t see why not.
newhome Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Many items are covered here. Happy to add any that are missing: https://forum.buildhub.org.uk/topic/6851-a-guide-to-the-vat-reclaim-process/?do=findComment&comment=116306
ragg987 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 You could claim they are fitted light fittings which are definitely covered.
Moira Niedzwiecka Posted September 20, 2018 Author Posted September 20, 2018 Thank you @newhome I missed it on your excellent post about VAT refunds. I suspected they would be eligible because to the lighting element & one has a shaver socket too.? 1
lizzie Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 @Moira Niedzwiecka mine have been included in my claim. I hope they will be accepted. Will let you know. 1
