Dear all,

We have metal web joists and some rather dodgy strongbacks - which I should have got sorted when the timber frame went up (won't make that mistake again) - I'm fixing the strongback issues but where the showers & bath are going I am going to further reinforce the joists by gluing and screwing some 18mm shuttering ply to the sides.  It may not make much difference but I will feel better having tried.  Cracked on with the first one tonight.

All going well until I put the D4 glue on and got it all in place - the D4 is just too runny - it was dripping out like crazy.  So my question - is there a glue which will glue wood to wood that doesn't have the consistency of runny cream?

cheers

I would still use D4 expanding glue. It's thin and runny becasue it is hot, if you put it somewhere cooler it will become more viscous, but be more difficult to get out the bottle
