Pocster
Ok I will have a concrete slab but not much depth to get pavers in . My superior has chosen pavers that are 80mm thick - so that really helps . At the deepest end (concrete base to finish ) I’ve got maybe 18cm . Plot slopes so going down to 12cm ? As my ‘base’ is solid do I skip the mot1 and just do sand ? This is above living accommodation so suds etc. not an issue cheers Edited June 5, 2018 by pocster

PeterW
Aren’t you parking on this ..?? You may need to go with a stiff sand / cement screed that you lay direct on to as you may find just sand will shift.

I did the driveway in my old house the conventional way and actually parked on it no issue . Perhaps different (??? ) sand for this one ??? PeterW
you have a slope and not a lot of sand under that end slab at 40mm so you will need to watch for pivoting. I'd go a 6:1 sand cement mix whacked down and lay on that so it doesn't move about.

Read this lot from end to end..... http://pavingexpert.com/blocks.htm Oh yeah I read that before was more worried due to lack of depth ( hence just sand ) and also the depth of 80mm - thought they might ‘wack’ down less
